Welcome! I'm Raquel — and This Page Is Just for You

Hey there 👋🏽 I'm Raquel Sands — a career strategist, writer, and creative consultant. I graduated from George Mason University in 2014 and was part of the STEP program (shoutout!).

I didn’t always know what I wanted to do — I’ve tried a lot of things: office jobs, yoga teaching, design, writing, consulting. My path wasn’t linear… and that’s normal.

🌱 What I want you to know:

  • You don’t need to have it all figured out.

  • What matters right now is being curious, learning about yourself, and starting to build a few core skills.

  • Careers aren’t about titles — they’re about building a life that fits you.

Here are 3 quick-start tools to help you explore, plan, and start showing the world who you are — even if you’re still figuring it out.

2. What kinds of problems do I enjoy solving (or wish I could)?
Example: helping people feel better, making things more efficient, creating beauty, teaching, storytelling

3. What do people often ask me for help with?
Could be homework, tech stuff, advice, art, organization, listening, etc.

4. What kind of life do I want to live someday?

5. What skills do I want to grow this year?
Example: communication, writing, video editing, leadership, coding, money skills, teamwork

Bonus Prompt: What’s one thing I want to try this year that I’ve never done before?
