Medicine is in the little things
Blog post. About all that you do and take in is medicine. So we've got different categories here. We've got the body, mind, heart and spirit. Because you are not just your body. You are not just your feelings. You are not just your brain, your mind. And you are not just a spirit, a soul inhabiting the body. You are all these pieces combined. That's the framework with which I operate and I work with my clients and the audience that is attracted to my work. So. Everything you do. Is a form of medicine. And it's hard to say what is the right medicine for you, depending on the situation, your frame of mind, how deep a medicine needs to work. So sex is the medicine for the body. You need to feel, wanted, you want to feel. Desirable. You want to feel the affection, the closeness, the other human warmth. Also for the body. It lubricates joints, it releases tension, produces the happy feelings and chemicals in your brain. Your spirit. Your heart sex is the medicine for that. Like I said, the feelings and the outlet expression. It also allows for your mind to rest, whether it is you like to be dominated or you like to submit or. The same thing. Or you like to try different things and experiment. Sex can be a useful medicine that depends on. Your willingness to be vulnerable, the access. What things you feel comfortable with or or who? Laughter is another medicine in our society, we hardly laugh. Sometimes we have to go watch a comedy movie in order to laugh. There's certain criterias or situations when we're supposed to laugh. That some things are, are, and are not acceptable to laugh about. So without getting too into the weeds about it, laughter, joy, happiness, that expression is medicine. Sometimes, instead of being sad or regretful about something, sometimes we just have to laugh about. Our own. Not mistakes, because I don't like that word, but our own misgivings, our own past, you know, depending also on how comfortable we feel laughing about it. But laughter exercise is another medicine, moving the body, and not just in the in a way of. Result oriented that you need to lose weight or tone define loose fat, forgetting about certain result, goal orientedness. Exercise is healthy for the body. The body was made to move so. Doing some sort of jogging, cardio, strength, building, both of them hand in hand are essential to having a good exercise. Well, roundedness. Breathwork. We have forgotten how to breathe. Instead of breathing with our bellies, we now breathe from our chest which is a more limited is a more stressful, stress inducing practice. So coming back to our breath realizing the the medicine. That it brings us in. Being more mindful, taking time out to just reconnect with ourselves. Meditation is a medicine. Eating nourishing foods. Intuitive eating is medicine. Walking, being in nature, having pets, taking care of a plant, having friends. Being solitary, everything, almost everything, within reason and as long as it's respectful to yourself and others, can be a sort of medicine. Some plant medicine. Some liquid medicine, air medicine, sun medicine. There's all sorts of medicines in this world in our lives and us being able to recognize that as medicine that what we do. And what we take in. Is serving us is giving us nourishment and help. Medicine is not just a pill or something prescribed by a physician or somebody who has been to university has some sort of credential. Medicine can be as simple as you taking time for yourself. And pulling a bath, lighting some candles, maybe some incense, and drinking some wine or a tea. Medicine can be as simple as taking the day off from work because your mind is not in the right place, your heart is not in the right place. You have a lot going on in your life and you just need to decompress. Maybe you just wanna vegetate and watch movies. Every single thing. Most things. Again, respectfully and. Keeping things mindful here. Can be considered a sort of medicine as long as it's done with intention, with sincerity and politeness. And. With that gratitude that you are giving yourself that time, that practice. To heal, to enjoy, to express. So let's redefine what medicine really is, because there are all forms of medicine around us. Most medicine is free, if not all, depending on how deep we want to go if we need somebody in our corner. If we have can't do it ourselves or feel like we're unable to. Medicine is everywhere.
